Description
The poster conceived by Harutyunyan reflects on the artist`s role in mobilizing society against injustice and announcing new visions of possible futures. The poster held in black, white, and red, with a trumpet as a central motive for giving an amplified urgent alarm, reflects revolutionary iconography from the 1920s when artists have been on the barricades to engage in new modes of social coherence in Europe.
Artist Statement
Art gives us a chance to understand what actual "freedom" means to create a better world. Additionally, the creative process is a chance for artists to realistically assess pressing issues and concerns to make their dreams come true.
So, after challenging years of isolation due to the COVID pandemic, I want to share my vision of the solution that will help revive our world. For me, the solution is art. The drawn trumpet, which recent years' ordeal has worn out, can still be used. It heralds the coming revival in all branches and professions. Let's revive our world through art. (Arman Harutyunyan)
