Children are symbols of our future. The painting, entitled “The Yard” is based on the depiction of children’s happy voices, in which we can see their friendly and easygoing environment: the yard. The yard is a safe-space of freedom, with every part of it being a protective, familiar space for young adults and children. (Arthur Hovhannisyan). Guaranteeing spaces of freedom at an early age is crucial for the further emotional, psychical, and social development of future generations to become self-conscious, mature and critical citizens.
