Background information on the selection process
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Culture, Heritage and Sport Professor, Piotr Gliński asked Professor Andrzej Szczerski, Director of the National Museum in Krakow, to pre-select relevant works of art. From the submitted proposals, the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport selected the work “A Pole” by Leszek Sobocki.
